5 Truths about Evil:

1.) Evil is real and potent - not just a sum total of individual bad deeds, but a power which gets a grip on human life and society.

2.)
Evil is personal - distinction between good and evil can only arise where there is free choice to be with God or to stray from God.

3.)
Evil is distorted good - God created a world and called it good, thus evil must be perverted good.

4.)
Evil masquerades as good - evil entices one to believe that it (evil) is the panacea.

5.)
Evil is the enemy - not for you, but against you.

Saints: The Episcopal Church holds the lives of some people throughout the history of the Church to have shown exemplary use of their talents and gifts for the good of all humankind and for the good of the Church. Thus, the General Convention of the Episcopal Church has set aside specific days for remembrance of the gifts and talents used by these saints. The Episcopal Church holds that all of its members are "saints" and so the remembrance of these "saints' days" are used to assist in remembering our gifts and talents and to develop them and use them. Saints are not seen as intercessors to be used on our behalf as if arguing the merits of a case before the judge, God.
